Dive Gear

Why should you buy your dive gear from us?

Diving is an equipment intensive activity. Without it we would not be able to explore and enjoy the marvels of the underwater environment.  At Blue Marble Divers we take pride in the equipment we use and offer for sale. The brands we carry have been carefully selected for their quality, reliability, warranty and price. We know diving equipment because we have been helping divers, just like you; select their gear for over 16 years. Warm water to technical, budget conscious to top of the line, we have diving equipment to meet everyone's diving style and price range. We will help you select the right equipment so you can get the most enjoyment and comfort from it on every dive.

Blue Marble Divers will meet any authorized dealers price

As an authorized dealer, you are guaranteed the dive gear you purchase from us comes with the manufacturer’s warranty.  This is your protection in case of defect or recall. Purchasing your gear from a non-authorized dealer does not provide this protection and may end up costing you for parts and service in the case of a recall or defect.

When it comes time to have your gear serviced only factory trained service technicians work on your equipment. When you purchase your regulator system from BMD your labor charge will always be over 25% less than what we charge someone who purchased their equipment from another dealer, authorized or not. Another benefit of purchasing your gear from us is the regulator lines we carry have a free parts program. This means your annual service parts are free, as long as you follow the manufacturer’s service schedule, saving you over $45.00 or more every year.

This sounds all well and good, but without comparisons it is difficult to actually see the savings. In the chart below, we have put together a comparison for two leading internet stores, who are authorized Zeagle dealers, and Blue Marble Divers. We have compared the purchase price, service and parts charges for the Zeagle Envoy Deluxe and Envoy Octopus, one of our best selling regulator setups. The Envoy Deluxe with Envoy Octopus has a MSRP of $535.90.  This comparison does not take into account the additional expense of mailing your equipment to the internet dealer and back to you.

Dive Rite was established in 1984 by Lamar Hires and Mark Leonard; two underwater cave explorers and cave diving instructors from North Florida. In the 1970's and early 80's, technical diving gear was virtually non-existent. Most cave divers made their own gear or adapted ocean diving gear to fit the cave environment. Lamar and Mark changed that and began the first technical dive gear company in existence. Pioneering products such as the Classic wing and the canister light, they introduced to the scuba industry the very first products designed for underwater exploration. In 1991, Dive Rite became the first manufacturer to launch a Nitrox-compatible computer called the "Bridge." In 1996, Dive Rite revolutionized the dive industry with the launch of the TransPac harness. Since those early days, Dive Rite has grown from thirteen products to over three hundred products. In 1997 Lamar Hires bought the company and has grown the company from a fledgling, North Florida dive gear company to a worldwide dive equipment manufacturer with distribution in 23 countries all over the world. Twenty years after the first primary dive reel was sold, Dive Rite's pioneering spirit continues with the innovation and quality that goes into each and every product. Dive Rite has a proud history of supporting dive exploration, conservation and education, putting Dive Rite in the unique position as a leader in the worldwide technical diving marketplace.

Cochran dive computers are one of the only, if not the only dive computer manufacturer who sells an air computer that is upgradeable to NITROX.  Buy one of their computers and have it upgraded to one or two mixes of NITROX when you are ready.

AERIS was introduced to divers worldwide in 1998. Our stated objective at that time was to raise the standard of features and technology available in diving computers. We did just that. We are now proud to offer a complete range of innovative and feature-rich SCUBA and snorkeling equipment. Our goals today are the same as in 1998; to raise the standard of products sold in the diving industry. Each one of our products represents an improvement in performance, aesthetics, function, or value.

XCEL started in the surfing market with the goal of keeping the image of a core company focused on wetsuit development. Staying on the cutting edge of material and design development, with roots in Hawaii and a warehouse/repair facility in California, Xcel has been able to develop a wide range of wetsuits from tropical to cold water designs. Xcel's emphasis on stretch, durability, fit and sealed seam construction is carried through on its men's, women's, and kids' wetsuits.

The secret to building a comfortable wetsuit is stretch, and Henderson’s Hyperstretch®abounds in the elasticity needed to make every suit feel as though it’s a second skin. If pulled in all four directions, Hyperstretch expands up to two-and-a-half times its original size. This kind of inherent flex pays big dividends when constructing dive wear that provides a “just right” fit for a wide range of divers and diving applications.

Conventional scuba mouthpieces currently on the market all employ bite lugs which involve only the front teeth and must therefore use the front of the jaw to retain the mouthpiece/regulator unit during diving. SeaCURE Custom Mouthpiece, being moldable, cannot only perfectly fit every individual mouth but can actually enter the mouth all the way to the rear of the jaw employing all of the diver's teeth. The result is that the large rear teeth and tremendous mechanical advantage of the back of the jaw can now be employed to retain the mouthpiece/regulator unit during diving, greatly reducing the required muscle effort.
