www.cavedivinggroup.org.uk - The Cave Diving Group was formed in 1946 by the late Graham Balcombe. American College of Hyperbaric Medicine (ACHM) - The American College of Hyperbaric Medicine is a physician specialty organization founded in 1983.  It is exclusively devoted to supporting and improving the science and practice environment for physicians practicing Hyperbaric Medicine.

Artificial Reefs of the Keys (ARK) -  is a non-profit group in Key West, Florida, working to bring the de-commissioned ex-USAFS Gen. Hoyt S. Vandenberg to their waters to become an artificial reef

Cave Divers Association of Australia (CDAA) - The main aims and objectives of the CDAA are to foster the development, advancement, promotion, mapping, education, exploration, conservation, safety and research of underwater caves and related features.

Cave Diving Section of the National Speleological Society (NSS-CDS) - The NSS Cave Diving Section is the largest cave diving organization in the United States with members in almost every state. While section members are very active in diving springs in Florida, they also dive mines and swamps in the northern states, conduct high altitude sump diving in the West, perform motorized and stage diving in the South, dive sea caves in the Northeast, survey Bahama Blue Holes, and conduct studies of various caves and springs in Mexico.  The section is also active in the development of underwater rescue equipment, and sponsors a comprehensive cave diver and instructor training program. National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration Diving Program (NDP) - The NOAA Diving Program, or NDP, is administered by the U.S. Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), and is headquartered at the NOAA Diving Center in Seattle, Washington. The NOAA Diving Program trains and certifies scientists, engineers and technicians to perform the variety of tasks carried out underwater to support NOAA's mission. South Pacific Underwater Medicine Society (SPUMS) - The South Pacific Underwater Medicine Society was founded in the early 1970's.  The aims and objectives of the society are: To promote and facilitate information and research on all aspects of underwater and hyperbaric medicine. To provide information on underwater medicine to all interested groups. This includes diving organizations, industry, the military, as well as, the individual diver. To promote exchange of information between members on all aspects of underwater medicine and related subjects and to publish a quarterly Journal. To convene members annually at a Scientific Conference.

Technical Diving International (TDI) / SCUBA Diving International (SDI) / Emergency Response Diving International (ERDI) - TDI was formed in 1994 by some of diving’s most experienced instructors to bring technical applications of the sport to a wider audience. TDI’s library of training materials and texts have become known as the industry’s best and most professional resources. Most importantly, TDI has the best safety record of all training agencies.

SDI was created in 1999 and grew out of the success of our sister company TDI, which specializes in the more advanced disciplines of dive training.

ERDI is the public safety diving training organization of the TDI SDI ERDI family.

The Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS) - The Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS) is the primary source of information for diving and hyperbaric medicine  physiology worldwide.  It was founded as the Undersea Medical Society in 1967 but in 1986 changed the name to Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society.  The name change reflects the rapidly growing interest in hyperbaric oxygen physiology and therapy.  The UHMS's purpose is to provide scientific information to protect the  health of sport, military and commercial divers and to improve the scientific basis of hyperbaric oxygen therapy, promote sound treatment protocols and standards of practice and provide CME accreditation.

World Underwater Federation (CMAS - Confédération Mondiale des Activités Subaquatiques) - CMAS is the only world diving organization. This organization is composed of some 14,000 diving clubs, 82 national federations and 4.5 million divers.  In 1980 YMCA SCUBA became a federation of the World Underwater Federation (CMAS), thus allowing our instructors and divers the distinct designation of this international certification. Due to our high standards, YMCA SCUBA remains the only SCUBA certification organization in the United States to offer the CMAS international certification card.  As a YMCA Certified Diver you are eligible to receive a CMAS international certification card (without any additional classes), go to the following YMCA SCUBA link for more information.
